Drink this one without much food in the belly.
perfectum potus - January 30, 2013The porter flavor is good, the coffee flavor is subtle, but the vanilla is overwhelming. First taste is of the porter and coffee, followed by an overwhelming vanilla taste. I would give this 4.5 stars if the vanilla were toned down a bit.

ishkybob - December 7, 2012Espresso dark with matching head. Bitter, toasted aroma with a hint of sweetness. Powerful flavor and brazen potency. Woody, lingering vanilla, dark roasted malts, and a hint of coffee. Great beer.
lazybean - November 11, 20122011 aged nice, one year later it is dark, rich coffee roast with a subtle vanilla after taste. Talked to the brewer, they change it a little every year, '11 was a coffee focused year.
