Light chocolate taste, dark in color, hints of hops.

Was expecting more intense chocolate and caramel flavor considering how deep the color is - was pleasantly surprised with the subtle balance

Malty with that slight holiday spice that Sam adams uses. It's their chocolate bock without the chocolate.

Nice chocolate and dark malts on the nose. medium tan thick, thick, frothy head. Darker and thicker than expected, but very delicious. Well done, high level. Great balance and acidity and pungency to the end. Quick finish, then lingering mollasses

Great for Christmastime if you live in a colder climate.

Nice Holiday Stout. Medium-To-Full Bodied, Caramel/Chocolate Flavors With Some Oatmeal Towards The End. One Of The Better Winter Seasonals By Sam Adams And Overall A Good Beer (B/B+)

Delicious seasonal porter from Sam Adams. Creamy smooth with a slightly bitter, wonderfully hoppy finish.

Porters aren't my favorite style, but I thought this one was alright. Well carbonated, pleasant aroma. When poured, I got about half a finger worth of foamy head, which dissipated quickly. Interestingly, I observed plenty of lacing remaining on the glass as I drank it. The taste was not exceptionally bitter, as I have found some porters to be. Pleasant sort of roasted coffee taste, but not overbearing. Good blend of hops adds to the finish. Overall, not bad.
