03JUL12, Flying Saucer, Nashville, TN Very interesting. Served by the bottle. It's a dopplebock. It had a pretty strong raisin flavor to it. The malt(s) are very complex, and a bit dark into the fruit flavors. I can't pin down a flavor, but it might be the maple hint in the aroma and flavor. There are just a lot of flavors going on here. It might be a little too sweet for me (reminds me a bit of Wild Blue's fruitiness, but has more hops accent and complex malts).

Outstanding flavor! Caramel dark... Cost a lot, but worth it.

A wonderful concoction. Obviously it tastes of bread pudding and raisins, but in a far more subtle way than korbinian. Overall great, but take note of mouthfeel next time as didn't this time.
