The magic of wood! Thick syrupy and amazing. This is a favorite of myself and my brewing partner. This beer is no joke. Another example of DFH pushing the envelope.

Medium body, somewhat oaky. Not too bitter, somewhat smooth. Very robust and yet not heavy.

Dark strong sipping beer. No fast drinking. Definately taste the 12% alcohol. Very nice

The lack of carbonation is definitely off-putting. Pours like watered down motor oil. Flavor and aroma are the same. Smokey, nutty malt, dark chocolate aftertaste and not much else. I love you, Dogfish, but if I have to drink this at room temperature just to pick up any other taste notes, I'll vomit it back up.

Dark Like used motor oil. Aroma is that of alcohol and aged wood. Complex taste of burnt wood and hops. Full bodied. Quite a sipping Strong Ale
